I have a problem to display an picture in pdf file.

The purpuse is to create a pdf from an application deployed on tomcat server
but when I declare

Image image = Image.getInstance("src/...../path .jpg");

itext looks up image in "bin" repository of tomcat server.

I try to serialize picture, but I get the following error

java.io.IOException: The byte array is not a recognized imageformat.

Is it exist a particular way to serialize the picture ?

Thanks in advance
