I’m trying to create a PdfAnnotation of a “tilted” ellipse, i.e., one whose
axes are not horizontal/vertical. If I do this:
*PdfAnnotation ovalAnno = PdfAnnotation.createSquareCircle(writer, new
Rectangle(200f, 50f, 275f, 75f), "some comment", false);
ovalAnno(PdfName.ROTATE, PdfNumber(30));*
then only the bounding rectangle with the handles appears to rotate, not the
ellipse itself (and in fact it looks like the bounding rectangle has grown
to contain the ellipse as though it had actually been rotated and then that
enlarged bounding box was rotated). In any event, the ellipse itself stays
in its original position and orientation.
I seem to be misunderstanding how PdfName.ROTATE is supposed to work. Can
someone explain how to get the ellipse/circle annotation figure rotated?
Thanks very much…
- Dan
