thanks for analyzing this.

I was expecting the pdf to be somehow broken. Unfortunatelly there is
nothing I can do with the source pdf's.

Anyway, expanding the condition in StandardDecryption.Finish() (either with
checking cipher != null or initiated == true) seems to do the trick so that
should be a go for me.
