gostaria de recomendar um livro bastante interessante para nós que estamos
vivendo, em minha opinião, um momento de transição do papel de Ti dentro das
organizações.
Strategic IT Portfolio Management, de Jeffrey Kaplan.
Não pesquisei se há versão em português, mas creio que não. Seguem uns trechos
que achei ótimos.
"Every day, business unit managers make decisions that drive IT spending. Every
time a manager makes a strategic business decision, that decision likely
affects IT spending. (...) In fact, a manager makes relatively few business
improvements decisions without affecting IT spending or resources. Because is
virtually impossible to transform the business significantly without affecting
IT investments, it begs the question, who really makes IT investments
decisions? Is it the IT department or the business units? (...) But the IT
department has relatively little authority when it comes to whether money is
spend on IT (...). CIOs try to become involved early in strategic business
initiatives requiring IT-enablement (...), but try as they may, business units
routinely commit the organization to making big IT investments long before the
IT department ever becomes involved".
