Hi,

The gridbox was designed to maintain many of the vbox and hbox properties
and behaviour. So we had to restrict the natural size computation to
something that we were able to handle without increasing the implementation
complexity.

We would like that gridbox had more automatic size computations but it was
not possible.

For now I would recommend trying to use the attributes that control
children size like EXPANDCHILDREN, HOMOGENEOUSLIN/COL and NORMALIZESIZE.

What I can do is to add some an action attribute (that are write-only),
like the FITTOTEXT attribute in IupMatrix, that help to set the sizes of all
elements in column or line at once. For instance:

FITTOCHILDREN: Set the RASTERSIZE attribute for all elements in the given
column or line, so that it will fit the largest element in the column or the
highest element in the line. The number of the column or line must be
preceded by a character identifying its type, "C" for columns and "L" for
lines. For example "C5"=column 5 or "L3"=line 3.

Best,
Scuri
