Hello, friends.
I agree with Ranier.
When I first got IUP, I tried to build/compile it (near to another
libraries/modules/utilities for Lua v5.3).
But so many warnings & errors confused me..... (warnings about you are
talking here, errors about missing files... that I did not
understand....because the guide do not talk about'em...)
I decided to give up.... I continued looking for the utilities built for
Lua v5.3 (binaries).... and I found them (also I got help from some
colleague for some utility).
I found that build/compile the entire IUP/CD/IM is complex for me. Any way
my first objective was "to get the DLLs", not built them.
Please do not consider me lazy... I only want to get the binaries because
my interest is "use Lua for programming, and teach others". I am developing
a tutorial for getting this.. I can do it.... but my initial investigations
were a disaster because the building/compiling is very complex and is not
what I look.... Interesting to know it.... but my focus is another.
I also tried wxBasic. The sources in C (¿or C++?) are available. I reedit
them supressing not used vbles, I compiled them and it went fine. But
IUP/CD/IM are more robust.
I congratulate the colleagues who can edit the core of a
language/framework. If some one can "help IUP base authors to supress the
warnings" it will be very helpfull for us who want to enhance the use of
the language.
