G'day,

I'm researching troubles with building the latest SVN version
of IUP, and also decided to have a peek at ftgl since it is a
package that I've has caused me troubles before.

There is a wide gap between ftgl-2.1.5 packaged in CD-5.12 and
ftgl-2.1.5 packaged in IUP-3.28:

     CD-5.12:  ftgl-2.1.5_sources.tar.gz    2019-01-01 78.8 kB

     IUP-3.28: ftgl-2.1.5_Sources.tar.gz    2019-12-14 14.0 MB

That's 14 Megabytes versus ~80 Kilobytes, in two tarballs with
nominally the same name and version number -- but roughly 180
times difference in archive size.

While there is a SourceForge project for ftgl, it appears to be
old and abandoned. Is there a public project source place for
Tecgraf/PUC-Rio's ftgl? The version numbering suggests that
there is some relation to the SF project; but, as I've found,
there is much value in tracking incremental changes, managed
through a reputable VCS such as SVN or Git. If not, could a
project be created, as otherwise a new release can spring a
nasty surprise on source users, with changes that were made in
private in the Tecgraf server(s) suddenly appear and can
disrupt users frameworks (the iupvled issue, and the resulting
EXCLUDE_TARGETS IUP Makefile change, are symptoms of this).

In the "Building Lua, IM, CD and IUP in Linux" documentation
node, the documentation for "Unpacking" tarballs/zipfiles is
significantly behind current release numbering. This is not
a problem in its own right, but (in light of the ftgl confusion)
may benefit from an update:

     Lua  latest release is 5.3.5 (26 Jun 2018), not 5.3.3 (30 May 2016)
     IM   latest release is 3.13 (2019-01-07), not 3.11;
     CD   latest release is 5.12 (2019-01-07), not 5.10;
     IUP latest release is 3.28 (2019-12-14), not 3.19.

     ftgl latest release is "CD-5.12/2.1.5_Sources.tar.gz" or
              "IUP-3.28/2.1.5_Sources.tar.gz";
     but the example gives "ftgl-2.1.4_Sources.tar.gz".
