Thanks for the bug report! The pyvenv error is interesting, and will take some further investigation.
The package conflict is by design. There are multiple file conflicts between the two packages. We had two options: remove/rename every generic file (/usr/bin/python3, /usr/bin/pydoc3, /usr/bin/pyvenv, etc.), or explicitly conflict the various versions of python3 we offer. We felt that not having python3 command would be more confusion than it was worth. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of IUS Core Development, which is subscribed to IUS Community Project. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301618 Title: WL: Python 3.4 Status in IUS Community Project: In Progress Bug description: Python 3.4 went stable a few weeks ago, and it would be really nice to be able to easily install this via RPMs. To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ius/+bug/1301618/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ius-coredev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ius-coredev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
