Public bug reported: Rackspace uses cloud init on every cloud server image, but because the cloud-init package in epel is so old, and doesn't appear to be getting an update any time soon, it would be nice to have this updated.
Because it is a package we rely on so heavily in our cloud environment, to the point that we have been using pip to install up to date python packages using pip instead of installing them from packages, which causes problems with customers. [email protected] for any questions about what is needed for RHEL and CENTOS.
