I'll comment here for Scientific Linux 6 users. The libvpx.so.1()(64bit) requirement is met by updating packge libvpx.x86_64 from sl-fastbugs repo which is not enabled by default. You can enable sl-fastbugs temporarely by using --enablerepo Yum switch, for example: "yum --enablerepo=sl-fastbugs update php\*" HTH!
