Including a couple other folks just in case they aren't on this distro list

Hi Ravi,

I think it would be great to figure this out as we know OEM's and Tier 1's are
interested in creating their own HMIs in the automotive space and the
homescreen we have in Tizen IVI today is just a sample. I think a tool like
this would be extremely helpful!

With that, can you tell us a little more about EB Guide Tool? I don't know
much about this tool except what I see here:
http://automotive.elektrobit.com/uploads/pdf/EB_GUIDE_Flyer_5dot4_screen-new.pdf

For example our Tizen SDK supports Eclipse. Does your tool support Eclipse as
well or is it an IDE itself? Which versions of Windows does your tool support?
 Mac/Linux support?

I'm assuming all of your HMI is created with C++ (as you mentioned below) but
does it also support the use of HTML5 or some hybrid of HTML5 and C++?

I'm assuming EB sells this tool or is it free?

As you may know (or not) Tizen IVI supports HTML5 and native (meaning either
C/C++ using APIs of the middleware components themselves or EFL) but maybe you
have libraries that you use to create the graphics/widgets etc.

Sincerely,
Adam

Subject: EB Guide HMI development on Tizen platform

Hi,

This is regarding HMI solution using EB guide tool on Tizen platform

We have EB guide tool for HMI development ,which runs on windows platform.
We would like to run the EB guide tool designed HMI widgets on the Tizen
platform (Intel Atom kit).
We have following queries/concerns on this -

* As per our understanding, HMI widgets designed with EB guide tool on
windows platform will not be able to run on Tizen (linux)platform. Please let
us your suggestions on our understanding on this.

* If we can try by integrating the EB guide tool generated C++ source
code with the Tizen SDK kit on linux platform and build the image on the linux.

* Will this method is feasible to achieve our requirement.

* We need your suggestions/feedback on any alternative solution to
achieve this .

Regards
Ravi Shankar
