Hi Jin,
You should also make sure 800x480 is supported by your monitor. Otherwise, the
config will not take effect.

Thanks,
Ning

hi Horace  Ning
I follow your advice , make new file named " /etc/xdg/weston/weston.ini" . As
follow:
[output]
name=VGA1
mode= 60.00 800 480 -hsync +vsync ==

And then I reboot the system . The resource is not changed.
Can you give me a template of the "weston.ini"?

Hi, Jin,
You could use `weston-info` to find out your monitor info and what resolutions
it may support. Then follow Ning’s instructions below to set proper screen
resolution you want to set up.

I tried here with my IVI device, it works.
Thanks,
Horace

Yeah… Aug release does NOT have the config file by default. If you install ICO
home screen[1], it will be brought in.
Anyway, you can try to create the file manually. A sample output section of VGA
looks like:
[output]
name=VGA1
mode=1920x1080
Thanks,
Ning

hi Ning
Thanks for your reply,but I can't find that file.In that directory (/etc/xdg),
there are 3 files, as follow"autostart/obexd-server.desktop",
"autostart/syncevo-dbus-server.desktop","systemd/user"
My system is August 29, 2013 3.0-M2-Aug
milestone<https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/IVI/IVI_August_29,_3.0-M2-Aug> . Do I
need to install something else ?

You can change the resolution by modifying the mode entry of VGA output in
/etc/xdg/weston/weston.ini.

Ning

Subject: tizen ivi resource

hi all
I have a problem that I run an app in tizen ivi , and the display is vga
device. But the system's resolution is too large ,so that my app looks very
small (In fact my app's resolution is 720*480 ). So how can I change the
system's resolution.
thks!
