Hello,

as Mesa is a Tizen Common feature, I would propose that we do the update there first.
If done there we can ensure that Weston/Wayland and all the graphic tool suite will be in Sync.

Subject: Re: About ico-homescreen in mesa-10.0.5

Quanxian,

I didn't find a JIRA feature or bug, so I created TIVI-3136 and PTF-193.

Out of curiosity, why go with 10.0.5 instead of 10.1.2?  The Mesa website suggests going with the 10.1.x series since 10.0.5 and 10.1.1 were released concurrently, and since 10.0.5 is the last release in the 10.0.x series.

[Wang, Quanxian] Good point. I have done some investigation on 10.0.x. Original plan I upgrade mesa to 10.0.x. But I think you comment will be fine. I will have a try on 10.1.2 and then make a decision which is right for us.

Thanks,

-Ossama

Quanxian,

On a related note, do you have a corresponding JIRA feature/bug for the Mesa upgrade?  I'd like to reference it in the Wayland/Weston 1.5 update feature request (TIVI-3136) since the Wayland/Weston development team no longer test again Mesa 9.2.1.

Thanks,

Hi, Masayuki Sasaki & Nobuhiko Tanibata

I am planning upgrade mesa from 9.2.1 to 10.0.5. However when I install ico-uxf-homescreen. It will fail to go to UI.

By the way, with default weston desktop shell, it will be fine.

After the investigation, I have found some hints. But the information is not enough. I turn to you who are familiar with code of ico-homescreen.

Breakpoint 5, weston_load_module (name=0xbffff86c "ivi-shell.so", entrypoint=0x8066701 "module_init") at compositor.c:3933

3933                       module = dlopen(path, RTLD_NOW);

It will warning:(the last characters are messed)

warning: Could not load shared library symbols for °(<

                                                     p.

However it will continue and will stop at the another module /usr/lib/weston/ivi-controller.so

ico_plugin_loader.c:110

110             module = dlopen(path, RTLD_NOW | RTLD_GLOBAL);

(gdb) p dlopen("/usr/lib/weston/ivi-controller.so", 0x102)

*** Error in `/usr/bin/weston': corrupted double-linked list: 0x08088040 ***

….Hang here….

From that, I could not get enough information. Basically I think some unknown symbol not exists. But I could not get that.

Do you have any suggestion or comment for that?

If anyone could lend me a hand or give me some hints, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Regards

Quanxian Wang
