Andy,
Tizen Common comes with Weston 1.5 pre packaged, would be easier
to use it as it works.
Note that in Tizen 3 we support multiuser, multiseat and security
enforcement, if you want to revert to an older version of Weston,
you need to be sure that you respect at least the security model.
Taking a Common image as base and checking how it works before
hacking the model, should help you to progress.
