Looks like you are trying to run as root, and there is no dbus user session for root. We have installed emotion and eo-devel rpm packages to 1.9.3 version to get gstreamer backend support for video rendering. Secondly, we installed Weston-ivi-shell related all rpms to get IVI shell running instead of desktop shell. It replaced our Weston.ini file to corresponding Weston.ini file for IVI-shell. Now instead of Weston-flower binary, we gave path of our binary emotion_basic_example in Weston.ini file, so on click of Weston-flower it will launch our emotion example binary and render video. In emotion_basic_example we have hardcoded the path of video file and the backend(gstreamer), so the binary can run without any command line arguments on click of icon. On click of icon, it just renders white background window and no video in it. I have attached journalctl log . Please also suggest how to take strace log. In the journalctl log, you can see, it creates surfaceID and maps surface.Please let me know your inputs. I want to basically launch/render the video on the Tizen. I was able to run the emotion example and render the video on Tizen -Desktop shell. But when I install Weston-ivi-shell and related rpms, and try to run same example as binary file in Weston.ini file, it does not render video. On Weston-IVI shell it just renders white window and no video in it. It creates Surface ID and also generated PID for the process, but cannot render video. The same example runs smoothly on desktop shell, so am I missing something. Could anybody provide help or info on this?
