Most desktop distros have not yet purged Gst 0.10 yet.

Yes, Qt will eventually support GStreamer 1.0, but it currently does not and 
there's no one working on GStreamer 1.0 + Wayland (there's one person doing a 
less-than-half-time work on GStreamer 1.0 + X11). If this is important for 
people using Qt on Tizen, they need to consider developing the feature and 
submitting it to the Qt Project.
