Hi Alex, In Tizen IVI we are using pulseaudio as the sound backend. For command line utility we usually use paplay
This is how we can handle audio policy in a nice way in user space (we can tap into pulseaudio and do all kind of stuff). If you want to use specifically alsa, google for dmix issues and You probably find info how to bypass pulse. But you will loose The policy functionality of Murphy and possibly some other audio Features like Bluetooth. Br, Jaska P.S. I don’t know what browser you are using, but there’s a bug In latest Tizen ivi images (TC-1731) where crosswalk runtime will use alsa if Pulseaudio is not already started. This will cause all kind of nasty issues… From: IVI [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of ??? I used my browser to play music, and pressed the pause. Then, play a PCM in shell, But get the error as below: ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1018:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave. Is there any extra setting I have to do ?
