When I don't restart weston, Modello UI will be fine same as auto start. But If I kill weston, and restart it again whatever from systemd service or use weston_launcher, Modello UI will be very slow for response based on that.
I am collecting weston log to analyze the performance. But I need to start weston manually to get the log. (systemd log will be very slow response or some time missed) The slow response has a big effect on Modello performance if I manually start weston and then start modello. I believe I miss something, but I am not sure what is missed. Also from our analysis, the client will cost 1s to send the commit. Generally it is only 5ms. It is a big gap. Any crosswalk or modello UI expert could give me a help to know what missed when start modello UI manually? Hi Quanxian, As I know, ModelleHomescreen is launched by "open_app Modello005.Homescreen" after power on. I am not sure if using this command will be different. You can have a try. :) [Wang, Quanxian] The same. I have tried that. Thanks Thanks. Hi, All We come across this issue when do modello ui performance testing. If the modello ui is started automatically after power on, modello ui works fine. (touch will be fine) But if we start it step by step manually, it will be very slow.(touch response will be 1s latency). Any suggestion? Steps manually 1) Power on the machine 2) Switch to vt (ctrl+alt+f2) Go to root user and kill weston in next step 3) killall weston 4) su - app go to user app 5) /usr/bin/weston-launch -- -i0 --current-mode 6) xwalk-launcher Modello005_HomeScreen In my understanding, it should work as same as auto start. But the difference is auto start will be quick response, manual will be very slow. I noticed, there is a xwalk.service, is it related with that? Any comment will be appreciated! Thanks Quanxian Wang
