Hi Grigory, This is the documentation about “Prerequisites for the Tizen SDK” published on tizen.org. https://developer.tizen.org/downloads/sdk/installing-sdk/prerequisites-tizen-sdk Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10, Ubuntu 14.04, java 8 are not in the official support list.
This is Tizen IVI SDK wiki https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Tizen_IVI_SDK. Please make sure that after changing the package server to http://download.tizen.org/sdk/latest, you chose the ‘ivi’ distribution. IVI SDK QA team verified them on Ubuntu 12.04(java 7), Mac OS X 10.8(java 6 recommended officially) and Windows 7(java 7). And from your log, the following log may be the fatal error. The skin is a jar ball. So it may be related to your java version. “20:56:02.712808( 2968) [SEVERE:skin_server] skin_server read error (54): -1 skin_server read error : : Connection reset by peer” In the case I don’t know your IVI SDK version, you can quickly have a try with this standalone emulator https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Tizen_Standalone_Emulator without installing the full SDK. The standalone emulator package were verified on Ubuntu 12.04 (java 7) and Mac OS X 10.7 (java 6) Additionally, besides this mail list, you can also create an issue via https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/secure/Dashboard.jspa to TC(Tizen Common) project directly. I'm trying to start an IVI emulator and see some GUI. I've got a macbook pro with OS X Yosemite 10.10. I've downloaded and installed IVI SDK as it said in IVI wiki. The haxm kext is running: 141 0 0xffffff7f83143000 0x11000 0x11000 com.intel.kext.intelhaxm (1.0.8) <7 5 4 3 1> I've set up the oracle JDK 1.8. I've create a VM in emulator manager with all default parameters (CPU/GPU hardware acceleration) but without camera. I start a VM, the emulator skin starts up but: 1. It writes about booting kernel and I see the following: http://goo.gl/j9BY4G 2. The GUI never shows. Just the black screen the the 'Booting the kernel'. In the log emulator.klog I see all the dmesg and systemd logs and a login prompt after systemd finishes its work. The sdb shell attaches to the emulator (In other words 'sdb' works fine). The mac becomes very hot and the fan just doesn't stop. 5. And finally I cannot close the emulator in a simple way. I press Force quit in the emulator's window menu but no result. There are some bad logs about this in the attached emulator.log. Only kill -9 PID helps. So, the question is, basically, what's going on? :) Why I don't see the GUI? Why it causes my notebook heat up very much? And why I can't quit the emulator? To make things worse: I've tried to switch off CPU acceleration. The result is the same. I also tried to do the same procedure on another PC with ubuntu 14.04. You won't believe it but the result is absolutely the same (two totally different PCs). BTW, I'm very a software developer and also know Linux KVM/Qemu.
