Hi folks,

For those interested, it is possible with minimal effort to also run EFI Tizen
IVI (both 32-bit and 64-bit) images under VMware (instead of the MBR images). I
have tested this so far only on VMware Player 6.0.4 running on Fedora 19
(64-bit version) but other combinations may work too. This is particularly
relevant if you want to take the 64-bit builds of Tizen IVI for a test drive as
there is no MBR version of those published at this stage. So here is how you
can do this:
- For 32-bit images (such as [1]): add the following line to your vmx file:
firmware = "efi"
- For 64-bit images (such as [2]):
        - Select 'Fedora 64-bit' as the OS when creating the new Virtual Machine
        - add the following line to your vmx file: firmware = "efi"
Note: the reason you need to select 'Fedora 64-bit' for 64-bit images is
because this what triggers the UEFI firmware from VMware to search for
respectively a 32-bit or 64-bit bootloader.
Note2: I believe you *must* be running a 64-bit host OS in order to run 64-bit
Guest OS on VMware.

I have updated the Tizen IVI 3.0 in VMware [3] wiki page with the relevant info.

Let me know if you run into any issue and feel free to report if other
combinations work too!

Cheers,
Geoffroy
