Within the ongoing collaboration between Automotive Grade Linux and the
GENIVI Alliance, the Linux Foundation is pleased to present an educational
webinar on the GENIVI Lifecycle Subsystem.
The webinar will provide an overview of the GENIVI Lifecycle software
subsystem. It will detail the automotive architectural challenges in the
area ofLifecycle and how the delivered open source software components help
solve those problems.

David Yates has worked within the Automotive Industry at
ContinentalAutomotive for 13 years. Originally from the UK, he graduated
from Bristol University and worked within the Defense and
Telecommunications Industries before moving to Germany to take a position
in the Automotive Industry.
He has designed and developed Infrastructure components (i.e. SW Loading,
Persistency, Lifecycle) for multiple deployed Head Unit projects. He has
been working as the lead of the Lifecycleproject inside of GENIVI for the
past four years and is a member of the GENIVI System Architecture team.

Speaker Photo
Dan Cauchy is the General Manager of Automotive at Linux Foundation. He is
leading the Linux Foundation's Automotive Grade Linux collaboration
project, an initiative to advance Linux and open source in the automotive
industry. Dan has over 20 years of experience in the embedded software
industry, LInux and open source. Dan was a former Board member of the
GENIVI Alliance where he founded and led the creation of the GENIVI
Compliance Program.
