You might want to take a look at this:

if you are interested in an affordable 10" hi-res hackable Intel-based
tablet. It might be a little (or very) hard to come by depending on your
geo-location, but if you manage to find a dealer it usually sells for
cc. 200 bucks, which is quite reasonable considering the specs (9.7" IPS
2048x1536, Bay Trail-T Quad Core Z3735 1.33 GHz, 3G modem, 16G flash,
microSD slot, USB3 with OTG support). The thing is built so that the
case can be (carefully) forced open with a guitar pick, for instance in
case something goes horribly ordinarily^Wwrong and you need to
cold-flash the BIOS.

I haven't tried Tizen on it, but (after reflashing the BIOS with one of
a comparable tablet that comes pre-installed with Android) I managed to
boot Fedora on it. YMMV...
