Both are due to using the ivtv tveeprom instead of the kernel / v4l tveeprom. On my system, if I don't let the cx88xx module get pulled in my remote doesn't work (pvr-350), so I use the kernel tveeprom. I rename the bttv module just like I do the kernel msp3400 and tuner modules so it doesn't get pulled in, even though it doesn't have any negative effects.
