The Adaptec AVC-2410 book says: "You have to set the Country or Region to your geographical locations, WinDVR uses this information to set the device standard." That sounds like the tuner is set in the software setup, rather than detected, so the equivalant for linux and ivtv is to set the tuner type and video standard manually.
