Here's a rough outline of what I have in mind:
This week I want to get rid of the duplicate modules tveeprom, tuner and
tda9887 (mostly done). In the weekend I try to merge the msp3400 module with
the one from v4l (I suspect this can be tricky). Hopefully I can also move
some of the other modules over to v4l.
I'd appreciate it if someone can patch the cx25840 driver so that
cx25840-register.c is no longer needed. The work is probably already done for
70%. I don't think they would accept a 179 kB source file that is really not
needed at all (and I found it more of a hindrance than a help since it
obfuscates the register address which you need as an index into the
datasheet).
Do NOT try to use the 0.5.0 for anything other than development. I give no
guarantees for the next two weeks :-)
