Did you previously install from a package, or from source? Old versions of ivtv put the modules in a different location, so they don't get overwritten by the new version. (not specific to suse). I'm going to update the wiki with this info shortly. Side note: should the makefile include this sort of check, like what it does for v4l tveeprom, tuner, etc, modules?
