[ivtv-devel] VPS and WSS decoder

Do you know of a commandline utility to read and decode one packet of VPS or WSS data? I am thinking about something to be used for recording via shell scripts like 

until vpsdecode | grep 17:00 ; do
   sleep 10
done
if wssdecode ; then mencoder -vf crop 704:405:0:85 
else
  mencoder
fi
