I am still having the buzzing channel problem. Whenever something
bright hits the screen it bleeds into the audio channel. This started
when I upgraded to 4.0 (which appears to have permanently broke my cards
ability to auto detect audio mode. Even when downgrading as far as 2.0
line. I have it set manually to mode 0x020 that I scavenged from an
earlier log. Without it half the channels have no sound. ) the buzzing
still exists with the earlier driver versions also.

I upgraded to the new recommended firmware, it still won't autodetect
audio mode. I am still checking for buzzing. It APPEARS to be better at
the moment, but all the local origination programming (when it appears
the worse) has gone off the air for the night.

I have also attached the card directly to the outside cable line with
same buzzing (and autodetect) problem.

Also, is it normal to be able to pull 17vac off the shielding of a
disconnected main tv cable? I get about 6v off the pin. Reason I
checked it is because it was giving me a nice tingle handling the raw
wire. I forgot to check the potential from pin to shielding.

By main TV cable I mean the cable they run from the junction box not the
pole. I removed all splitters and other devices from wire is what I
mean.

This driver has come a long way in a short time and I highly appreciate
your work. I just wish I could find a way to help the project more.

Thanks for your help.
Brent

PS. There has been a lot of changes recently with the structure of the
driver's distribution and compile methods and I have been out of the
loop for quite a while. Can someone forward me to a page that can sort
of give me a "conversion manual" for the driver install process? thanks
