I was wrong about the processor optimization options -- but SMP is indeed enabled.
I never noticed captions being ahead before. Like I said, it's pretty important here. Nonetheless I've noticed it on a couple of recordings. I don't know if it's always been that way or only since I started trying to upgrade to 0.4.1.
