If you suffer from the overflow problem, please also have a look at
thread named "ivtv buffer overflow" on the MythTV-dev mailing-list
(http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-dev/2005-December/thread.html). This
was started as a result of this thread on IVTV-dev when it became clear
that the problem would most likely be in MythTV and not in IVTV.

In my case the problem was triggered during a LiveTV->Recording
switchover and seems to be fixed now.
