Fisrt of all, thanks for your great work on the ivtv driver.

Hi, I tried posting this to the v4l list at redhat, but with no luck.

I know you folks are currently working hard to integrate the driver with the main kernel v4l tree, so figure that someone there knows the answer to my problem.

  I'm using mp4live v.1.4.12 cvs (also tried 1.4.1)

Format = UYUV width = 320x240 (also tried full PAL 768x520 spec). This is from the YUV output of a Hauppauge 500/150 using ivtv 0.4.1. During my VIDIOC_REQBUFS call, I get an EINVAL return code. I'm using a type of V4L"_BUF_TYPE_VIDEO_CAPTURE, and a memory field type of V4L2_MEMORY_MMAP, and requesting 32 buffer. Can you tell me why I might be getting the error, and where that bit of ioctl code is implemented?

V4L2 is from kernel 2.6.15

Stdout error is:

11:51:22.739-mp4live-7: format is UYUV 320x240
11:51:22.739
-mp4live-3: Failed to allocate buffers for /dev/video33 Invalid argument

Cheers

Marius
