I used to set a register upon bootup of my MythTV box to shift the image
over a little because otherwise it was too far to the left. The command
I used was:

ivtvctl -j reg=0x6C,val=0xEA

I only recently discovered that this command doesn't work, and if I try
to use the -J option to ivtvctl (to get the current register values) I
get a bunch of "ioctl: IVTV_IOC_G_ENCODER_REG failed" lines followed by
"00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F" and nothing else.

Is this option obsolete, or is there something wrong with my install?
I'm not sure I need to use it anyway because of other changes I've made
on the Myth side, but I'm curious nevertheless. I'm running a Gentoo
system with a 2.6.15 kernel.

Daniel
