I have a 2.6.16 from kernel.org and already built dvb-drivers from
hg-v4l-dvb. I did not build these with ivtv, because the 0.7.0-version
doesn`t work on my machine (see my other posting about firmware timeout).

So I tried to compile 0.6.1, but there are unknown symbols:

Building modules, stage 2.
  MODPOST
*** Warning: "tveeprom_hauppauge_analog"
[/video/src/2.6.16/ivtv-0.6.1/driver/iv tv.ko] undefined!
*** Warning: "tveeprom_read" [/video/src/2.6.16/ivtv-0.6.1/driver/ivtv.ko]
undef ined!

modprobe ivtv gives the follwing dmesg-error:
ivtv: no version for "tveeprom_read" found: kernel tainted.
ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_unregister_device
ivtv: Unknown symbol video_unregister_device
ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_device_alloc
ivtv: Unknown symbol video_device_alloc
ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_register_device
ivtv: Unknown symbol video_register_device
ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_device_release
ivtv: Unknown symbol video_device_release

With 2.6.15, I had no problems to use latest dvb-drivers together with
ivtv-0.4.x.

What can I do to use ivtv-0.6.1 and latest dvb-drivers from hg-v4l-dvb with
kernel 2.6.16?

I think it is necessary to build some further modules from ivtv and replace
the v4l-dvb-modules with them. Maybe it is possible to change the Makefile?
