Hi, all I sincerely need your help and comments to make operate WinTV PVR-250 in Linux.
I want to get WinTV-PVR-250 work properly in my linux machine. Fedora Core 5 (kernel 2.6.16) is now installed, and I followed the procesure explained on http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto but, in Contents, I can't understand Module options part. There said that people who don't have udev or devfs may need to modify modules.conf. I judged devfs do not exist in my linux. Since there was not /dev/.devfsd. So, I want to add some additional lines (this is directions written there) to /etc/modules.conf, but I can't find /etc/modules.conf. So I skipped this procedure (Module option part) and still followed remaining process explained on http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto. But, I had problem when I executed "/sbin/modprobe ivtv". I can't find the reason. How can I fix it? I attached 'dmesg' dump, and parts of dump from 'lspci -v'. p.s. I'm newbie in this job, and not familiar with Linux itself. ------------------------- dump from 'lspci -v' ------------------------------------------- 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
