I'm having issues like these as well, but on a machine that hadn't any issues before with the old ivtv (0.3 series) drivers. I have tried 0.6.1 and 0.7.0 drivers and they both behave strange on reboot (and every time also different on reboot). It seems a firmware loading issue to me.
