Well, I just don't understand how to get the latest
version of IVTV supported by my kernel (version
2.4.32, with the linux-2.4.32-dbox2-v4l2.diff and
linux-2.4.32-i2c-2.10.0-drivers-i2c.diff patches
applied) to work properly.
I was able to get it to do capture and playback last
week, but now it will not work at all, even though I
didn't change any parameters for it, and I don't get
any error messages in my kernel log.
I am able to use ivtv-tune to change channels
successfully, but when I test it with "mplayer
/dev/video0," I either get nothing but static with no
sound (?), or it displays nothing, refusing to even
allow me to force mplayer to exit with Ctrl-C.
And, yes, I even did full cold starts by shutting down
completely for several minutes, then restarting my
system.
I REALLY don't want to be forced to go back to version
0.2.x, but I am faced with no choice at this time,
unless someone else has some ideas.
