If you have a PVR-350 that has a saa7129 chip instead of the older
saa7127 (check the dmesg output) then it is likely that it will not
work due to a saa7129 initialization bug in the saa7127 module.
If you use a 2.6.16 kernel with ivtv-0.6.x, then you must upgrade to
2.6.16.12 or up. The bug is solved in that kernel.
For older kernels you will have to wait until ivtv-0.4.5 is released
(will be soon).
Symptoms are strange colors and even failure to capture (empty capture
files).
As far as I can tell the bug is triggered by the newer gcc compilers,
older gcc-3.x compilers seem to align things differently and the bug
doesn't surface.
