Actually the carrier is part of some standard 4:3 PAL signals here in NZ. Due to geographic issues (NZ has an abundance of geography) severe ghosting is common. You can get units that will de-ghost a single channel, but then you need to feed the composite input into your MythTV box which is a pain. If the IVTV cards understood the signal they could handle it automatically. Didn't know if there were any undocumented additions to the denoise filters.
