Can you upgrade to gcc-4.1.1 and recompile the driver?

The firmware is loaded to the card and then the driver tries to find a
so-called mailbox (read: a magic memory value). These messages mean
that it cannot find it. In the past it was related to 64-bit errors,
but that's eliminated, and there are some indications that it may be a
gcc-4.1 code generation issue (hence the request to upgrade to 4.1.1).
