HI! I tried using ivtv 0.6 with Fedora Core 5 and kernel 2.6.16, together with a DVB-C card.
The DVB-C card worked perfectly in another machine, using Suse 10.1, kernel 2.6.16, but together with ivtv in the FC5 machine, the dvb device nodes did not get created and creating them manually also did not help (DVB drivers loaded, but card did not work). So, I finally upgraded to kernel 2.6.17, ivtv 0.7 and now the DVB-C card just works, too. Is this a know issue with ivtv and DVB with kernel 2.6.16? I have read here at least from one other user with similar problems, but he needed a newer v4l than provided with 2.6.16, where for me, v4l from 2.6.16 was OK for DVB alone.
