I hope this isn't terribly off-topic - I actually want a lirc-dev list,
but it doesn't seem to exist. If there's a better place for this please
let me know.
I'm trying to get a new Hauppauge PVR350 card to work with lirc_i2c - it
seems that the latest version of this card is not supported by the
driver. I suspect that a new chip is being used for the IR.
(I'm using the deb source lirc-modules-source_0.8.0-7_all.deb)
In ir_probe() the value of adap->id comes up as 0x10020 which is the
value of I2C_HW_B_CX2341X. This is the Connexant CX2341 MPEG encoder
chipset, which isn't supported by the lirc_i2c driver.
I made a little patch to the driver so that it can ir_attach the card,
and that works, so that I can now run "irrecord blah", which I could not
do before.
Unfortunately irrecord fails after I push a button with:
irrecord: gap not found, can't continue
How should I persue this problem?
