Until now, I recorded under fc6 and watched under fc6, and then recorded under fc3 and watched under fc3. But: if I play back the fc3 recordings under fc6, the video is jerky as well.
Reading about mplayer, I got the impression that mplayer will try to keep audio synchronized and therefore the video gets jerky. If I playback with -autosync 10, video is much smoother, but it's very definitely not lipsync. I've never noticed any serious lip-syncness problems with my existing mythtv setup so I'm puzzled. First I'm going to try to do a fresh mythtv setup, to see how the things look from that perspective. I seriously dislike setting up mythtv (but rather like having such a system). I won't have much time to spare in the coming weeks, but I'll report back if I know more.
