Until now, I recorded under fc6 and watched under fc6, and then recorded under 
fc3 and watched under fc3.
But: if I play back the fc3 recordings under fc6, the video is jerky as well.

Reading about mplayer, I got the impression that mplayer will try to keep 
audio synchronized and therefore the video gets jerky. If I playback 
with -autosync 10, video is much smoother, but it's very definitely not 
lipsync.
I've never noticed any serious lip-syncness problems with my existing mythtv 
setup so I'm puzzled.
First I'm going to try to do a fresh mythtv setup, to see how the things look 
from that perspective. I seriously dislike setting up mythtv (but rather like 
having such a system).

I won't have much time to spare in the coming weeks, but I'll report back if I 
know more.
