Hi, I'm new to this list but I've been an ivtv user for a long time. Recently I upgraded my myth box and found that ivtv would no longer compile, complaining about redefinition of the function splice in 'encoder.c'.
I couldn't find any reference to that problem here, and sifting through the code it seemed a simple problem, but perhaps deceivingly so. Ao I looked around elsewhere and found a patch over at opensuse, here(http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-commit/2006-09/msg01002.html). Apologies if this has already been posted by someone else, but I did look and couldn't find it. The patch seems to solve all related problems, and without it building ivtv-0.6.X is impossible with glibc-2.5 installed on gentoo. -- -N words to live by:"When in doubt, use brute force" -Ken Thompson I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.
