It didnt :)

I'll try and rig up some serial port logging too, to another machine.

I'll try the latest kernel (i have hr timers patched onto 2.6.19 - part
of newer kernels, might be a culprit, but has worked well without the
ivtv driver in other configurations for long periods). Is there a diff
against 2.6.22.1 that I could try?
