Hi all, I've just put together the final tree that uses the improved i2c handling and it should be merged with the v4l-dvb repository quite soon.
Many thanks to all of you who have tested my ivtv-i2c tree and gave feedback, and I'd like to thank T. Adachi in particular for testing (and finding bugs!) my tree with the Asian cards. The new i2c handling should prevent any misdetections in the future (such as IR chips being incorrectly identified as tuner chips, or conflicts between DVB cards and ivtv). I've also added support for the AVerMedia EZMaker PCI Deluxe card, many thanks to Stuart Hart for setting up a remote test box for me. My tree is at http://www.linuxtv.org/hg/~hverkuil/v4l-dvb, but it should be merged with the master v4l-dvb within a few days. If you use a card with an saa717x chip on it, then you also have to use the ivtv trunk on http://ivtvdriver.org/viewcvs/ivtv/trunk, since you need this updated saa717x driver.
