I am trying to set up mythtv on an Acer Idea 510. According to the hardware manager I have two CX23418. I have downloaded and installed the drivers from here http://lwn.net/Articles/263066/
However the card does not initialise and I get the following in syslog: > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.528150] Linux video capture interface: > v2.00 > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.533938] cx18: Start initialization, > version 0.1.0 > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534161] cx18-0: Initializing card #0 > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534166] cx18-0: Unknown card: > vendor/device: 14f1/5b7a > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534172] cx18-0: subsystem > vendor/device: 12ab/0718 > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534175] cx18-0: Defaulting to Hauppauge > HVR-1600 card > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534179] cx18-0: Please mail the > vendor/device and subsystem vendor/device IDs and what kind of > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534183] cx18-0: card you have to the > ivtv-devel mailinglist (www.ivtvdriver.org) > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534187] cx18-0: Prefix your subject line > with [UNKNOWN CX18 CARD]. > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534262] ACPI: PCI Interrupt > 0000:03:00.0[A] -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 20 > Jan 23 15:13:36 acer kernel: [ 2066.534452] cx18-0: cx23418 revision 01010000 > (B) > Jan 23 15:13:37 acer kernel: [ 2066.813131] tveeprom 0-0050: Encountered bad > packet header [00]. Please reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as I do not think my own mailserver is fully working yet. I can send and fetchmail OK, but I don't think receipts direct are getting through - I think its a firewall issue on my BT voyager that I haven't cracked yet.
