Hello Hans Verkuil and everyone at the ivtv project. I've just noticed this
after syncing to the latest linuxtv hg sources. I don't think the ivtv driver
is giving the same ATTR{name} for the device nodes of the pvr-150 card.

I used to have a rule that would create a static node from ATTR{name}=="ivtv0
encoder MPG" name. Now udevinfo states that the name is just "ivtv0", and it's
the same name I get from both /dev/v4l/video1 and /dev/v4l/video24, so now udev
can't distinguish between the two nodes. I use the rule to distinguish my
pvr-150 card from a cx88 atsc card for a Mythtv backend.

Running udevinfo for either video1 or video24 generates virtually identical
output. I think the only solution on my end is for udev to look for a node
named "ivtv0" with a device number < 24, but I really don't know how to do that.

For now, I'll revert to a working rev., thanks in advance everyone.

Sam

PS. Please email me at my address, I don't think I'm still subscribed to the
