FWIW, the radio support in the pvrusb2 driver was thoroughly debugged quite a long while ago - including switching modes back and forth. So something new must have been broken. I'll need to know exactly which driver version you are using (i.e. v4l-dvb revision # off of master) and kernel you tried it under.
