Yes it helped. But still the colours are a bit strange. I guess I will have to 
dig into old messages in this list and see if there's some advice.

I am happy that the basic Ivtv functions are working now, so I'm currently 
playing with the MythTV settings to find decent PAL record/playback  
settings.
