I patched this against the current xine cvs, compiled, and installed. I now see ivtv as one of the video drivers for xine. I then downgraded to 0.2.0-rc1a. However, when I run xine I see the splash screen for a moment and then the screen goes black. This happens to regular mpeg2 files and to dvd's.


I'm not sure what kind of debugging to do, but if I do an strace, it seems to start normally but then I get an endless number of these lines:

select(5, [4], NULL, NULL, {0, 33000})  = 0 (Timeout)
ioctl(4, FIONREAD, [0])                 = 0
